Founder & CEO
I studied the sciences at school before attending the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. As well as tours of duty in Northern Ireland and mainland Europe, I was lucky enough to specialise in jungle warfare. This meant spending protracted periods in the rainforests of the world, and it was here that I became a committed conservationist.
After leaving the Army, I had a career in financial services, during which time I founded three of my own start-ups. I believe that this is why I have a strong feeling of empathy with the founders that we back.
My final corporate role was as the Global Head of Strategy for BGC Partners, a $3 billion global broking company. In this role, I was responsible for all M&A. I was the deal lead on a dozen transactions and the total deal size on my watch was over $1.2 billion. I was also the global troubleshooter, sorting out problems in Brazil, Canada, Turkey, the US and the UK. I specialised in the integrations of our acquisitions, ensuring synergies were optimised and key staff incentivised.
On one side I am a 3rd rate campfire guitarist and vegetarian who is a committed conservationist that wants to help create a better world for my three children and three grandchildren…and on the other side I am a soldier, a passionate rugby player (retired), an experienced, straight-talking dealmaker and hard working, competitive capitalist seeking venture-sized returns for me and for our investors. And I find that these two sides of me sit very happily together.

As a new father, I care deeply about playing my part in helping founders and start-ups who are addressing the defining global challenges of our day.
I co-founded TSP Ventures back in 2019 alongside Chris, and like Chris, I have personally invested in every portfolio company.
After graduating from the London School of Economics, I joined the Strategic Investments team at BGC Partners where I helped acquire and integrate over a dozen businesses. This in-depth operational and M&A experience, alongside successfully completing the 3 years of CFA exams, has provided me with a strong foundation in investing.
I was also directly involved with BGC’s $500m move into the insurance markets, acquiring the first businesses, hiring teams and overseeing in-house technology development.
Through investing in and advising many start-ups, I have developed a deep understanding of the early-stage ecosystem.
I’m at my happiest when I’m outdoors…in the mountains, in the woods and getting lost off the beaten track.
OUR TEAM
We have an experienced team with highly complimentary skillsets.
